Complementing the intercultural sector activities which are in the focus of the Report "Sharing Diversity", an important cross-cutting field of research and practice needs to be mentioned, Intercultural Mediation (ICM). The paper explores these questions by looking for a definition of ICM, exemplifying its application in the context of the Balkan-Crisis and highlighting its potential role in an overall strategy of ICD, be it on the local and national level or in efforts to reduce international tensions.
