Online/More Colour in the Media
OL/MCM is a network of NGO's, broadcasters, training institutes and researchers, set up to improve the representation of ethnic minorities in broadcasting. It has developed a European Manifesto to support and underline the importance of minority community media. The network aims to influence media coverage on minority groups and disseminates expertise and good practice. In 2003, it established a pilot 'European Day of Monitoring' and in 2007 held the European Week of Media and Diversity: Equal Opportunities for All.
European Media Technology and Everyday Life Network
The EMTEL is located at the LSE and carries out research projects, studies and workshops. The site links to country profiles and case studies which map commonalities and differences in diasporic, ethnic experience and the media in Europe.

Racism and Cultural Diversity in the Mass Media
A 2002 report of the EUMC which provides an analysis on the way the mass media reports on ethnic issues, tracing the developments, the effect of media reporting and identifying positive action to combat racism and promote cultural diversity. It provides a comparative overview of media research with regard to racism and examples of good media practice on anti-racism and cultural diversity in 15 EU Member States.
Migration and the Media
This paper was produced in 2005 by the Migration Policy Group for the European Migration Dialogue (EMD). Starting with an overview of the role of the different actors, the paper takes a closer look at migration issues in the media, whether or not the media has an impact on migration issues, or whether the role of the media is addressed or discussed by civil society.
