Intercultural Dialogue Europe


Vjeran Katunarić

Prof. Dr. Katunarić is an internationally recognised expert and author of several books and over 100 article in the fields of intercultural dialogue, intercultural education, ethnic relations, multiculturalism. 

He served as an expert to the Council of Europe project "Intercultural Dialogue and Conflict Prevention (2000-2003), author of the national cultural policy review for Croatia and expert evaluator of the national cultural policy review for the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.  He is professor of sociology, University of Zagreb and visiting professor at several universities including University of Texas (course on ethnic and race relation and comparative politics), University of Umeä (course on social psychology), University of Lock Haven (courses on ethnic relations and multiculturalism). 

Prof. Dr. Katunarić was co-director of the course "On Divided Societies" at the IUC in Dubrovnik,  President of SIETAR-Croatia (Society for Intercultural Education, Training and Research), Vice-president of INTERKULTURA (Society for Cooperation Between Members of Different Cultures). His works have been published in several languages such as Croatian, English, German, French, Japanese, Bulgarian, Romanian and Slovenian.
